Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep releases their fifth studio album, Neck Deep. After unsuccessful recording sessions in Los Angeles, they returned to their hometown and recorded a "back to basics" pop punk album more similar to their earlier albums.[3]
Bring Me the Horizon is scheduled to release Post Human: Nex Gen, the follow-up to Post Human: Survival Horror (2020), and the second entry of their four-part music release of the Post Human series. The release was originally scheduled for September 2023, but was delayed to 2024 due to "unforeseen circumstances" that led the band to not be able to finish it to a satisfactory level.[6][7]
Sum 41 is scheduled to release their eighth and final studio album, Heaven :x: Hell in early 2024. It will be a double album, with the Heaven album being styled around the band's earlier pop punk sound, and the Hell album being styled closer to the band's heavier metal sound explored in their more recent 2010s album releases.[8][9]
Slipknot band members are scheduled to release an album. The album, Look Outside Your Window, was recorded by four of the band's members in 2008 during the band's lengthy All Hope Is Gone sessions. It's not planned on being a traditional Slipknot album due to its more experimental and melodic rock sound.[10] The band once aimed to release it in 2023 once band members were scheduled from their record label contract.[11] It was delayed to 2024 due to Corey Taylor's commitment to his second solo album CMF2 in the second half of 2023.[12]
Korn is planning on releasing their fifteenth studio album. The band concurrently plans on celebrating the 30th anniversary of their first album, Korn (1994).[13]
Deftones are scheduled to release their tenth studio album in mid-2024. Work on the album began in early 2023, and will be their third album working with music producerNick Raskulinecz.[14]
Welsh rock band Feeder is scheduled to release their twelfth studio album, a double album titled Black/Red. The release was recorded to be a trilogy of albums between it and Torpedo (2022), and will mark 4 albums in 5 years after Tallulah (2019). The band, started in the 1990s, has seen a resurgence of commercial success in the UK with its prior two albums.[17][18][19]
Coldplay is scheduled to release their tenth studio album, Moon Music. Frontman Chris Martin described the album as "almost done" in January 2023, though he said that the album would not be released right away after completion, as the band was focusing on touring first.[20]
The Offspring is scheduled to release their eleventh studio album in early-to-mid 2024. Work on the album began in March 2023,[21] and like their previous three studio albums, it was produced by Bob Rock.[22][23]
Guns N' Roses are scheduled to release their seventh studio album, which will be the follow-up to Chinese Democracy (2008) and the first studio album to include all-new original material with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan since the double Use Your Illusion albums in 1991. Since the band reunited with Slash and McKagan in 2016, there has been talk of a new album from Guns N' Roses, and Slash has stated that they may release new music in 2024.[24][25]
Social Distortion is scheduled to release their eighth studio album. The band's follow-up to 2011's Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes was originally set for release in 2023, but vocalist and guitarist Mike Ness' diagnosis with stage one tonsil cancer delayed the album's release to early the next year.[26]
Pearl Jam began work on their twelfth studio album. Work on it started in mid-2022 with Andrew Watt, who has been heavily involved with music production with pop musicians and in the 2020s, Ozzy Osbourne. The goal in working with him is to make more spontaneous music rather than the lengthy recording times of prior albums.[27]
Jane's Addiction has announced their intention to release their first new material in a decade, though frontman Perry Farrell notes that it is unlikely to be a full album.[28][29]
Aerosmith started its farewell tour in September 2023, but Steven Tyler's medical issues with his vocal cords delayed some performances into 2024.[30]
In celebration of Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday, a tour where he fronts both A Perfect Circle and Puscifer is announced for 2024. In particular, this will be the first time A Perfect Circle has been active since the release and touring in support of Eat the Elephant in 2018.[31]
